Solothurn - here we come

Ship Ahoy Solothurn!
On September 2nd, the drums for the dragon boat race in Solothurn will sound for the first time. The mixture of fun, sporting competition, team spirit, Asian tradition and party make this event a very special experience. Anyone can take part. A team consists of 17 friends, buddies, employees, relatives or club members. No prior knowledge is required. The organizers provide the boats, paddles, life jackets and the steersman. In addition, every team that has successfully registered will also have the opprtunity to attend a training session in the week prior to the event. Fun and team spirit are most important. Rhythm and synchronization are more important than pure muscle power and decide between victory and defeat.

The race takes place between the Kreuzacker and Röti bridges. Each team has the opprtunity to fight for entry into the finals in three heats. In addition to the Elite Mixed category for professionals, there are races in the Fun Mixed category (the same number of female and male paddlers)  and Fun Open category (team composition freely selectable).

The registration will open on May 1st at 12:00 PM. Hurry up to grab one of the coveted starting places. The slots will be provided on a first come first serve basis.
